Casa d’Or is situated in a cliff-top tourist resort, Cala’n Porter, on the south coast of the island and only a 10 minute drive from the airport. The town is ideal for families, with a variety of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and souvenir shops, all within walking distance from the property. The wonderful beach with crystal clear waters can be accessed via road or steps and also offers two beach bars serving local tapas and sangria. Other south coast beaches (Binibeca, Punta Prima, Binisafúa, Son Bou) can be reached in less than 15 minutes by car, and the capital town Mahon is also only a 10 minute drive away. Car hire is available from the resort and a daily bus service runs between Cala’n Porter and Mahon during the summer months.
Casa d’Or is located on a double plot at the top of the resorts coastal road, and overlooks both the beautiful beach, with turquoise waters, and the open sea. The swimming pool (9m x 4m) is surrounded by a spacious sunbathing terrace with a shaded pergola with table and chairs and a stone barbeque for al fresco dining. On the upper level of the house, with access from the lounge, is a terrace with 360º views over the resort and out to sea. From this terrace guests will also enjoy unforgettable Mediterranean sunsets.
The house is a home away from home, fully equipped and furnished with comfortable and quality furniture throughout. The property is distributed over two floors:
